Improving the rank of your web site's pages in the search engines is a never-ending battle. The newest option for webmasters comes in the form of automatic backlink generation services. These are entirely legitimate methods for creating backlinks to your site WITHOUT needing to contact the owners of the sites that place the backlinks.

How does this work? Well, it varies, depending on the service. In some cases the company that offers the backlinks uses their own servers, on which they maintain sites that can be used to place the backlinks for their clients. Other times, the company does no hosting of their own.
